Privacy Policy — FiTrack

Last updated: 19 September 2026

FiTrack has no account, no server and no analytics provider. It makes no network requests at all. Everything you enter stays on your phone, and the only way any of it leaves is if you export it yourself and choose where to send it.

What FiTrack stores on your device

All of this is written to a local database and to your phone's own app storage. None of it is transmitted anywhere.

What FiTrack does not do

Permissions and device features

Notifications — requested only if you turn on reminders. Reminders are scheduled locally by your phone's operating system; no push service, server or device token is involved, and FiTrack has no way to send you anything remotely. Declining the permission disables reminders and nothing else.

Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint — used only if you enable the app lock and choose biometric unlock. The check is performed entirely by your operating system, which tells FiTrack only whether it succeeded. The app never sees, and cannot store, your face or fingerprint data.

Files — used only when you export or restore a backup, and only for the file you pick at that moment. FiTrack cannot browse your storage.

Exporting and restoring your data

More → Export backup writes a complete JSON file of everything the app holds and hands it to your phone's share sheet. From that point the data is wherever you send it — email, cloud storage, another device — and this policy no longer governs it, because it is no longer in the app. Treat an export as you would any other file containing personal health information.

Restoring reads a file you select and writes its contents into the app. It is read once, at that moment, and nothing else on your device is touched.

Export is free and is not gated behind a purchase.

Analytics

FiTrack includes an optional usage-analytics feature. It is off unless you switch it on in More → Privacy & security.

Even when switched on, it is connected to no provider and transmits nothing — events are held on your device, where you can inspect them. Body measurements, weights, foods, exercises, reps and set data are excluded from analytics in code, not merely by policy.

If this ever changes, this policy will be updated and the change surfaced in the app before it takes effect.

Crash reports collected by Apple and Google

FiTrack itself sends no crash or diagnostic data. However, if you have enabled crash and analytics sharing in your device or app store settings, Apple or Google may collect crash logs and basic usage statistics for apps you install, including this one. That collection is theirs, governed by their privacy policies, and you control it in your device settings — FiTrack neither receives those reports nor can switch them off on your behalf.

Your data is yours

There is no retention period to describe, because there is nothing held anywhere but your own device, for as long as you choose to keep it.

Children

FiTrack is not directed at children under 13, and collects no data from anyone of any age.

Health disclaimer

FiTrack provides estimates from published formulas (Mifflin-St Jeor, Katch-McArdle and Epley) and training programs built on general resistance training principles. It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Calorie and macro figures are starting points to adjust from, not prescriptions, and no result is guaranteed. Consult a doctor or a registered dietitian before making significant changes to your training or diet, particularly if you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are recovering from an injury.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be noted here with an updated date. If the app ever begins collecting or transmitting data, that change will be described here and surfaced in the app before it takes effect.
