TapTrap — Privacy Policy
Last updated 7 October 2026
TapTrap is a memory game. It has no account, no sign-in and no server holding your save file. Your progress stays on your phone. The only information that leaves your device is what Google AdMob needs in order to show ads.
Who this policy is from
TapTrap is published by [DEVELOPER NAME]. If anything here is unclear, or you want to ask about your data, write to visa2grow@gmail.com.
What stays on your device
All of your game data is written to your phone's local storage and never sent anywhere:
- Level progress, stars, best scores and best times
- Coins, unlocked themes and your weekly hint allowance
- Daily and play streaks, and the date you last played
- Settings — sound, vibration, reduce motion, chosen theme
Uninstalling TapTrap deletes all of it. You can also clear it at any time from inside the app: Settings → Reset progress.
What we do not collect
TapTrap does not ask for, collect or transmit your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, or precise location. It has no login, no cloud save, no leaderboard, no crash-reporting service, and no analytics service.
A note on in-game statistics. The app records gameplay events — which level started, whether it was completed, which hints were used — purely so the game can show you your own stats. These are held in your device's memory while the app is running and are discarded when it closes. They are not uploaded. If an analytics service is ever added, this policy will be updated before that build is released.
Advertising
TapTrap is free and is paid for by ads, supplied by Google AdMob. To show and measure them, Google receives information from your device. Google acts as an independent controller of that data, under its own policies:
- Your device's advertising identifier
- General device and app information, and your approximate location derived from your IP address
- Whether an ad was shown, viewed, clicked, or a rewarded ad completed
What Google does with this is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy & Terms.
Your consent, and how to change it
- Where the law requires it — the EEA, the UK and Switzerland — you are asked for consent before any personalised ad is requested, using Google's own consent form.
- On iOS you are asked separately for permission to track, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- Declining either still gets you ads, just non-personalised ones. The game is fully playable either way, and nothing is withheld for saying no.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time: on Android under Settings → Google → Ads, and on iOS under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Permissions the app requests
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
VIBRATE |
Haptic feedback when you tap a card, make a mistake or hit a bomb. Can be turned off in Settings. |
MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS |
Plays sound effects without interrupting other audio. |
AD_ID |
Lets Google AdMob read the advertising identifier, as described above. |
INTERNET |
Required to fetch ads. The game itself is fully playable offline. |
Children
TapTrap is suitable for all ages but is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from a child. Ad content is restricted to the G rating. If you believe a child has provided information through this app, contact us at the address above and we will look into it.
Keeping and deleting your data
Because your game data never leaves your device, there is nothing for us to hold, export or delete on your behalf. To remove everything, use Settings → Reset progress or uninstall the app. Data held by Google as a result of advertising is governed by Google's retention policies, linked above.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts handling data differently — adding analytics, accounts, cloud saves or purchases — this page will be updated and the date at the top changed before that version is released. The same wording is shown inside the app under Settings → How we handle your data.
